FAQ
Questions, answered.
Straight answers about remodels, ADUs and working with us. Still curious? Just ask.
What kinds of projects does KB Remodeling take on?
We focus on whole-home remodels and accessory dwelling units (ADUs), including detached ADUs, attached additions, garage conversions and junior ADUs.
How can I check KB Remodeling's license?
KB Remodeling's CSLB number is 1066105. View the current license record, classification, bond and insurance information with the California Contractors State License Board before hiring.
Where do you work?
We work across Greater Los Angeles. If you're unsure whether your address is in our area, email us and we'll confirm.
Can I build an ADU on my property?
An idea alone cannot establish eligibility. Ask the authority for your property's address about the applicable rules, and review site access, existing structures and utility connections before committing to a design.
How do I understand the permit path?
First confirm the reviewing city for your address and ask which planning and building reviews apply to your proposed scope. Gather existing records and keep agency answers dated; approval is property-specific.
How much will my project cost?
Cost depends on scope, size, site conditions and finishes. We don't publish generic prices. Compare written scopes and clarify allowances before making a budget decision.
Can we stay in the house during a remodel?
Sometimes. It depends on which areas are affected and for how long. Discuss kitchen, bathroom, access and dust-control needs when planning the phases.
Do you work in Spanish?
Yes. We communicate in English and Spanish.
How do I start?
Send a request through the contact form or email office@kb-remodeling.com with the type of project, general area and your preferred timing. A precise address is not needed in the initial form.
