A quieter material vocabulary

Stone, walnut and warm metal considered as a system, not isolated samples.

01

Design intent

Give the house a consistent tactile language while leaving room for existing elements. An attractive combination in one photograph is a prompt for testing, not a specification or promise.

02

Layout & feasibility

Place samples in the actual rooms under morning and evening light. Ask where water, heat, hands and cleaning products will meet each surface. Confirm installation details at the junction of counter, cabinet and wall before ordering.

03

Material thinking

Compare honed stone, wood veneer or solid wood, and metal finishes for durability, care, lead time and replacement options. Record model, finish, approved sample and allowance assumptions in a selection schedule.
